Zoe-perry

Perry was born July 25, 1968 in Chicago in Illinois. She was the daughter of Laurie Metcalf Perry and Jeff Perry. One of her first TV appearances were Jackie Harris on ABC's sitcom Roseanne. Her mother portrayed her role. Her parents did not allow her to perform with her parents till the age of adulthood because they were afraid of the stress it would create. Perry claims she never wanted to become an actor during highschool but decided to start performing as a form of social interaction while at Northwestern University when she switched from Boston University. Perry, after graduating from Boston University moved in New York in search of acting roles on television. She landed small parts in shows like Law & Order: Criminal Intent. But, her home-sickness drove her to California in search of theater jobs. Perry was a part of Broadway with her mother in The Other Place with her mother in 2013. Her father Kevin McKidd performed in Eugene O'Neill's Pulitzer prize-winning film Anna Christie alongside her in 2015. Perry appeared nine times in the ABC thriller The Family, in 2016. In 2017, Perry had a minor role on ABC's political thriller Scandal in which her father was the main character. In addition, she played the younger Mary Cooper in Young Sheldon, an CBS spin-off from The Big Bang Theory. She was cast in the role despite having a close family connection to the character.
