Ina Garten is well-known American cook book writer and Emmy award-winning host of Food Networks current oldest show Barefoot Contessa which began in 2002 and has aired up to 2020 in 27 seasons. Ina started writing policy and nuclear energy documents to the White House. While she found it interesting initially, she eventually dropped interest and bought a tiny speciality food shop - Barefoot Contessa. She spent eighteen years making the shop extremely popular before selling it off and grabbing a pen to begin writing her first book. Others followed, and so did magazine columns. The Food Network television program also began and rapidly gained popularity. In addition, she sells everything from equipment to cooking tools and storage containers. Ina is a cook who has learned by herself who has never been to a cooking class, nor been in a kitchen. Her name is ascribed to her straightforward method of cooking, and her effortless entertaining.
