Ina Garten is well-known American cookery book author and Emmy award winning host of Food Networks current oldest show Barefoot Contessa that debuted in 2002 and has aired 27 seasons until 2020. Ina began her career by working at the White House, writing the nuclear energy budget and other policy reports. While she found it to be stimulating intellectually, eventually she stopped her pursuit and decided to purchase a smaller specialty food store - Barefoot Contessa. After 18 years of making her shop a massive success she sold it and began writing her first book. Many other cookbooks and magazine columns were later published. The Food Network television program also began and rapidly gained popularity. Her products range from kitchen equipment to ingredients as well as storage containers. Ina, who is self-taught she has never attended a culinary school or in the hotel. Her name is associated with her casual style of creating and entertaining.
