Pickler was raised in a difficult family. When Pickler was just 2, her mother ran away in order to escape an abusive relationship. Her mother returned in 1995 back to her home and was given full charge of the child. This did not go very well. So when she was 12 the judge returned Pickler to her grandparents who took care of her until she reached adulthood. In the absence of her parents, Pickler got too involved in as a mother to her kids. The time she had was not enough and that she had to learn how to take care of her family at a young time. Pickler was a member of her high school's and middle school's cheerleading team.
